Mariana Butte Golf Course

Loveland

Mariana Butte is located in the foothills along the Big Thompson River west of Loveland which makes it a Front Range course with a mountain feel. The new clubhouse is perched high on a hill with a commanding view of the course and the mountains.
Fairways run through creek beds, alongside long lakes, through big trees and past the Big Thompson especially on the back nine of the 6,572-yard course. Some holes are played from rocky perches high above the fairways and greens.
The signature hole is #16, a 561 yard, par five challenge that starts from a highly elevated tee box. The drive must cross a creek to a tree-lined fairway. The shot to the green requires a carry across a pond. There are global positioning systems and display screens on the golf carts. While most golf courses simply accept non-resident play, the Loveland golf courses go out of their way to welcome visitors. In fact, around 80% of their play comes from non-resident golfers.
For eight-day advance tee times call (970) 669-5800. A very popular program is the  Double Play of one course in the morning and the other in the afternoon. Call the Loveland Golf Division direct at 970-962-2643 rather than the individual courses. Knowledgeable golf representatives will book both tee times and carts for both courses.Double-Double tee times can be made 21 days in advance.
To reach Mariana Butte, take I-25 to exit 255 (Highway 402) and go west 6.5 miles to Wilson Avenue. Turn right and then go 1.25 miles to 1st Street and follow signs to the golf course.
